"stand", "form"
Double Meaning
Act 2,
Scene 4
Lines 31-33
Mercutio
The second meaning of the term "form" is a wooden bench. The young trendy nobles stand so much on new benches that they cannot sit at ease on an old one — as this would hurt their tender young bones. Their is also a pun on their "bones" referring to the fact that they use the French expression "tres bon" instead of saying "very good."
