"directs my sail"
Metaphor
Act 1,
Scene 4
Lines 110-111

A metaphor using sailing terms in myShakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Act 1, Scene 4.

Romeo

But he that hath the steerage of my course
Direct my sail! On, lusty gentlemen.

There’s no point in Romeo worrying about his misgivings; fate will steer the course of his life just as a ship’s pilot steers the ship’s course by setting the sails accordingly.
