Lady Macduff

Poor bird, thou'ldst never fear the net, nor lime,
The pitfall, nor the gin.

These were all methods for catching birds. Lime is a type of glue put on branches where birds might alight. A pitfall is a cover which falls over a pit. A gin is a cage trap.
