Sofia: Thanks for joining us, you two. 

Petruchio: Thanks for having us. 

Kate: Happy to be here, Sofia. 

Sofia: As our audience knows, you just happened to run into Lucentio's father, Vincentio, on your way back to Padua. But when you brought Vinentio to Lucentio's house, it was instant chaos. 

Kate: [LAUGHTER] Oh my god! It was hilarious. 

Petruchio: First, there was this guy who was pretending to be Vicentio. 

Kate: And then the guy we thought was Lucentio showed up and he turned out to be Lucentio's servant, Tranio. 

Petruchio: And poor Biondello, oh my-- Lucentio's other servant, he was sure that everybody was going to get in trouble for all of the lying that was going on. 

Kate: And then the real Lucentio, shows up with my sister Bianca, saying they had just gotten married! 

Petruchio: Which did kind of piss your father off. You don't see him mad at Bianca very often. 

Kate: No. 

Sofia: Yes Kate, I imagine you enjoyed seeing that your sister might be in trouble for a change. 

Kate: You know what? That did feel good, now that you mention it. 

Sofia: And well, if you don't mind me saying, Kate, you also just seem more yourself. A bit more relaxed. While some people were dressing up pretending to be someone that they weren't, it seems like you've come out of disguise too. It's like you just weren't able to be yourself when we first met you. Partly because of the situation you were in, and partly because of what people expected of you. Well, probably for a lot of reasons that our audience should think about. But it was like you were playing a role that you didn't really want to play. 

Kate: You know, I do feel like a new person, Sofia. You know, I have to think about that, and I'd love to talk about it more sometime but I'm a little worried about what's going on with my family. I mean, my dad was really upset when they left and we should really go see what's going on. 

Sofia: Oh, that's fine with me. We can talk some more later, you two should get going. 

Petruchio: First, kiss me, Kate. Kiss me before we go check on him. 

Kate: What, in front of everybody? We're on TV. 

Petruchio: So? You're not ashamed of me, are you? 

Kate: God, no, just ashamed to kiss. 

Petruchio: All right. I guess I could have Grumio go get the horses ready so we can go home again. 

Kate: Oh, stop. Fine. I'll give you a kiss. (kisses him) Now please, my love, let's go check on the family. 

Petruchio: Isn't this great? My sweet Kate. Better once than never, for never is too late. 

Sofia: Aw, you two should run along. Thank you for joining us, everyone.
