myShakespeare | Hamlet 1.3 "Double Blessing"

I stay too long — but here my father comes.
[Enter Polonius]
A double blessing is a double grace;
Occasion smiles upon a second leave.
Video Transcript:

SARAH: Apparently Polonius and Laertes have already said good bye once, but Polonius's reappearance means that Laertes will receive his father's blessing a second time.

RALPH: Although Laertes is certainly being respectful of his father here, we already get a hint from his words that Polonius is perhaps a long-winded, repetitive kind of guy.
