Sly returns from his sleep, dressed a little more like a lord. He’s followed by attendants who are telling him that he’s a lord who has woken up from years of sleep. But Sly’s not believing it yet. The real Lord’s page shows up, pretending to be Sly’s wife, and Sly suddenly seems more willing to consider that he really is a lord. A messenger announces that the actors are ready to perform a comedy, and Sly, finally starting to believe he’s a lord, agrees to watch the play with his lady.
