Hamlet’s friend gets a letter from the prince in which he announces that he has escaped death and is returning to Denmark. As per Hamlet's request, Horatio brings several letters back to the king.
Gentleman
The gentleman informs Horatio that some men have come to give him a letter.
Sailor
The sailor gives Horatio a letter from Hamlet.
Scene Summary:
Horatio receives a letter from Hamlet, which tells him that the prince is headed home to Denmark. He asks Horatio to deliver some letters to the king, and Horatio makes plans to seek out Hamlet.
